Our life is no more special than anyone else’s. We live, we love and we laugh. We cry, we fight and we pray. We hope a lot and enjoy the little things in life, because at the end of the day, that’s all there really is.
What makes me want to blog is where I’ve come from and where I’m going. A lot of things are important to me because they have shaped me into the person I am today. I am a motherless daughter; I am a former anorexic and bulimic woman; I am a wife and a mother. A career-changer, a risk-taker. And now I am a Down Syndrome advocate.
Despite what has come before, I still have that great hope for life and the true beauty that can be found inside every moment. I try to capture it with my camera and try to store those images in my mind.
Sometimes, this blog will be about the everyday days — baby-with-diaper-rash, husband-is-annoying-me, slept-through-the-alarm kind of days. Other posts will conquer tough topics and personal demons. I ask that you, as my kind reader, take them for what they are — small glimpses into a busy and fulfilling life — and nothing more. If they inspire one person, than it is a bonus. If it helps me as a sort of therapy, fantastic! I hope family and friends are able to follow our lives as if they were here enjoying the days with us and I hope you all enjoy the journey of living life unconditionally.
“I decided, very early on, just to accept life unconditionally; I never expected it to do anything special for me, yet I seemed to accomplish far more than I had ever hoped. Most of the time it just happened to me without my ever seeking it.” — Audrey Hepburn
